How to purchase:

  3. Add the Unlimited Open Bar Package (21+) or Unlimited Starbucks Package (18+) (these will be added for everyone in the stateroom). The Soda Package (all ages) can be added per person. 

NOTE: These items will be placed in your cart but full payment is required to complete the purchase and have them linked to your The Rock Boat reservation. 

  1. You have until end of day January 16, 2025 to pre-purchase beverage packages. If you miss the deadline, you can still purchase these packages on board for Norwegian's standard rate.

Beverage Packages Details


  • Special activities such as onboard wine tastings, mixology classes, or liquor tastings are NOT covered.
  • Packages may not be shared and are non-transferable and non-refundable.
  • Guests must be at least 21 years of age to purchase any alcoholic package and to consume alcohol.
  • While sailing, you will sign for each beverage ordered, and your check may sometimes reflect applicable taxes for certain ports or itineraries.

 

FAQs


  • No. The beverage packages will be sold only for the duration of the entire cruise. Please note this is standard NCL policy.

  • Beginning January 2025, Norwegian's beverage package options have changed fleetwide and the Premium Plus Package is no longer an option. You will notice, however, that the Unlimited Open Bar Package now includes MANY premium brands. Cheers!

  • Yes, you may purchase all beverage packages for the standard NCL rates plus a 20% service charge. 

    All beverage package purchases on board must be made on the first or second day of your cruise. For more information, visit any bar, or look for a table set up promoting beverage packages once you board.

    *NCL Latitudes Status will no longer affect the price you pay for these packages. 

  • See NCL's Beverage Package flyer for examples of spirits included in the Unlimited Open Bar package.

    Selections may vary per sailing.

    • The Soda Package enables you to obtain fountain soda at any bar, lounge, or restaurant throughout the duration of your cruise without having to continuously sign transactions to your onboard spending account.
    • There is no limit to the amount of fountain soda consumed however, under this package only one soda can be requested each time. Additional soda shall be charged to your onboard account at current bar prices.
    • Canned or bottled soda, including mini bars, and bottled waters are not included in the Soda Package.

  • While there is a limit of TWO (2) beverages per person per transaction, there is not a set limit of drinks per day. However per the terms of our conduct policy, guests who choose to consume alcohol must do so responsibly. The ship’s staff may refuse to serve alcoholic beverages to any guest who does not consume alcohol responsibly. 

  • If my cabinmate doesn't drink alcohol, do they still have to purchase the Unlimited Open Bar Package? Yes, if they are in the same stateroom. Both packages must be purchased by all stateroom guests 21 years of age or older for the full duration of the cruise. Guests aged 20 and under in the stateroom have to purchase the Soda Package.

    What if my cabinmate doesn't drink alcohol due to medical conditions or special circumstances? To request a beverage package purchase with special exceptions, please contact Sixthman Guest Services.

    This is standard NCL policy.

  • The Unlimited Open Bar Package can be used in any of Norwegian Gem bars or lounges, satellite bars, Garden Cafe, complimentary, and specialty restaurants during normal business hours. NOTE: Room service and minibar are not included. 

  • A beverage service charge of 20% will be added to the total when you purchase for various onboard services and these packages. You will not have to pay additional gratuities on covered beverage purchases (see above for what is included/excluded) on board unless you desire to do so.

  • Your Norwegian Ship Keycard will identify that you have a beverage package in the upper righthand corner. The bar staff will request to see your keycard for verification before service, so keep it handy!

  • Unlimited juice is included in the Unlimited Open Bar Package. 

    If you would like to add juice to your Soda Package you can do so on board. It is an additional $3 per day to add unlimited orange, cranberry, pineapple, or grapefruit refills to your Soda Package. 

    This does not include the Juice Bar.
